As you have no doubt seen or heard, the Government has updated its planning for dealing with the outbreak of the Coronavirus/Covid-19 outbreak and issued new guidance.
In response to this guidance, ELELS Council has decided to take extra precautions to protect members and staff against the risk of spreading the virus.
We are encouraging staff and volunteers to work from home where possible. This does mean that the Synagogue is effectively closed for the foreseeable future. Please do not go to the Synagogue unless you have an appointment to meet someone and you have confirmed that the appointment is going ahead. If you make an unannounced or unexpected visit, even if someone is in the building, you may not be allowed entry.
Sam, our administrator, will continue to go into the office to check for telephone calls etc. If any key-holders need to go to Synagogue, for any reason, we ask that they liaise with Sam before doing so.
